Impression
This is one of the more impressive and intact locks that I have ever visited. There is a small iron foot bridge that crosses over the 1st lock section.
Move toward the back of the park and there are wooden stairs that go down into the 3rd lock section.
It really gives you a sense of how each chamber would fill and drain of water to get boats up and down the canals.
Another cool part of American history, when canal systems were built to help move merchandise, people from place to place over long distances.
