Background:

Pokemon Go is a game that was created by the Niantic company, the same ones that created the mobile game Ingress.  In a nut shell you walk around town and find Pokemon, capture them and them you can upgrade them and use them to fight in a PokeGym.   The game has taken the nation by storm.  If you want more information about it, check out the official site.

Impression:

I’ll admit that I didn’t want to get caught up int the craze.  But the game is fun, gets you out of the house and exploring different places, some you may not have even know existed.  It can be played alone or in teams, of which our family has joined Team Mystic and we generally play together!

One Sunday night we decided to travel to the Short North/Goodale Park area in Columbus and grab a few Pokemon.  Here are some images captured of others playing.

Before passing judgement on it, I ask that you look for the good in everything first and weigh that against the negatives.  I think you’ll find that this fun, interactive game has a lot more going for it than against it!
