Background

Hilby The Skinny German Juggle Boy is the stage name of Michael Hilbig, a comedic circus stunt performer from Ithaca, New York. He is originally from Germany but has spent almost as much time in the US.

Hilby is known for his vaudeville-style performances, which combine juggling, unicycling, and comedy. He has performed all over the world, including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Montreal Comedy Festival, and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Hilby is a graduate of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. He is also a member of the International Jugglers’ Association.

Impression

It was completely by happenstance that we came across Hilby’s performance.

A Vaudevillian-style performance is the perfect description of his show. Physical acts as well as comedy, inuendo and audience interaction and participation were all on display.

We were mesmerized by the non-stop action and fun that Hilby displayed for the crowd. From adults to the youngest of kids, all had a that watched the show were laughing and having a superb time!

Hilby was an awesome addition to the Ohio State Fair in 2023!
