The Columbus Zoo Lantern Festival runs from August 1st through September 29 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7pm to 10pm.

Tickets are required to see the event at night, after hours – so please remember to go to the Columbus Zoo website and purchase tickets for this event. Zoo members do get discounts on the price of admission.

Impressions

First, let me just say that we will definitely try and get to this event at night…but we did take opportunity to document the lanterns during the day!

Even in daylight, the craftsmanship of the lanterns are apparent.

These are not just single lanterns either – a lot of thought was put in on making these scenes.

I would highly recommend going to see these lanterns at any time. Keep your eyes open to see the night time version of this post!
