Background

The Columbus Zoo Lantern Festival runs from August 1st through September 29 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7pm to 10pm.

Tickets are required to see the event at night, after hours – so please remember to go to the Columbus Zoo website and purchase tickets for this event. Zoo members do get discounts on the price of admission.

Impressions

We first did a story on this, seeing the lanterns during the day, and as promised, we got a chance to go and see them at night!

While they are fascinating to see during the day, they are absolutely stunning to see at night – not only are they lit well, but some are even articulating.

As part of the ticket price, you can ride any of the rides that are in the areas of the lanterns, parking is included as well – so no additional fee for that!

Like many things we cover here at VisualOhio, seeing these things in person is way better than what we can share here with our pictures.
