Impression
Covered bridges are a dying piece of architecture. We find it something special when we run across one and in this great of a condition.
We walked from a nearby park (Jefferson Township Community Park – dog friendly if they are on a leash) along a small strip of grass before getting to the wooden boardwalk to the bridge left.
Well maintained and multi-laned, the walk to the bridge itself gives the reward of not only the architecture of the bridge, but also to the left you have the creek itself that the bridge crosses. There is no proper walkway that we see on the other side of the bridge.
If you like architecture or bridges, then this is a very cool one to see and is easily accessible. A lot of times when trying to see/visit/record this kind of landmark – there is no place to park or stop to do so. Great that you can stop at a park just a few short steps away and check it out in safety.

My wife and I moved from California two yrs ago and I drive through West Jefferson often and we just found this bridge. It’s only three blocks off of Main Street in a beautiful setting. Found by accident on 18 feb. 2023. Lucky Me!
