Background

First Responder’s Park in Hilliard, Ohio is a place created for reflection and remembrance. It pays tribute to the 403 who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the attacks of 9/11. The park not only has their names, but also has metal sculptures made from the steel of the downed World Trade Centers.

Impression

2021 marks the 20thanniversary of the attack on the World trade Centers, the Pentagon, and the downed place in Somerset, Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001.

We have covered 9/11 anniversaries before in these articles:
September 11 – Memorial Wall In Columbus, OH
September 11 – Flight 93 Memorial in Somerset, PA

Not much has changed in our minds regarding our feelings about it.

Below are some images from an excellent park to reflect on that day. It also is a good place to remember all those first responder’s within the State of Ohio that put their life on the line for perfect strangers each and every day.

If you happen to be in the Hilliard area, please visit this area and ponder that day if you are old enough to remember it. Meditate on the sacrifices that are made by fire fighters, EMT, police officers that rush toward danger when everyone else is running away.
